Melissa Alaniz
Melissa Alaniz is an Associate Fire Protection Engineer for Waxler Fire Protection Engineering. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering & Technology from the University of North Texas. She has over ten years of construction experience, with five of those years dedicated to fire protection design, project management, and estimating.
She currently holds a certification for NICET Level II- Water-Based Systems Layout and plans on taking the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in pursuit of her Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) certification. Along with volunteering for community and scholarship fundraising with the SA Rodeo, she is a member of the Texas Fire Protection Association (TFPA) and a supporter of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE).
At WFPE, her duties include Fire Protection design, HAZMAT evaluations, commodity letters, fire system plan reviews, water supply analyses, fire hydrant flow tests, code consulting, site inspections, and drafting of technical reports.
