Sprinkler Fire Barrier Inspection
Checking whether a sprinkler-protected glazed barrier matched the conditions supporting its alternative protection approach.
The project
A glazed barrier relied on a specific sprinkler protection arrangement as part of an alternative method. That made the details of the installed condition central to the inspection: sprinkler placement, the relationship to the glass, and obstructions all had to be considered against the documented approach.
Our approach
WFPE examined the field installation, including discharge coverage and the conditions associated with the listed protection arrangement. We identified installation and documentation items that required resolution and recorded the corrective actions and follow-up verification needed. The review focused on whether the installed details supported the intended barrier protection.
What we delivered
Our inspection report provided a defined set of corrections and the need for reinspection before approval. The useful result was a clear path for resolving the observed conditions, with outstanding work kept visible rather than treating the initial inspection as acceptance.
