Specialty Liquid Storage Reconfiguration
Reevaluating a warehouse after changes to its high-piled rack layout.
The project
A distributor changed its planned rack storage arrangement, requiring the fire protection basis to be revisited. The stored liquids and their containers also required more specific protection guidance than a generic warehouse classification could provide.
Our approach
WFPE revised the occupancy and commodity report to reflect the new arrangement. The assessment considered product composition, packaging, rack and floor storage, and existing-system hydraulic calculations. It used the applicable specialty protection guidance alongside the sprinkler criteria to document the evaluated basis.
What we delivered
The revised report replaced the earlier storage assumptions with the current arrangement. It connected the changed layout to the protection analysis and made clear which product and storage conditions supported the conclusion.
