Rolled Material Storage Analysis
Developing a storage assessment for rolled materials alongside other flooring products.
The project
A distributor planned both roll racks and pallet racks for products with differing fire characteristics. WFPE evaluated the mixed inventory, including rolled materials that did not fit neatly into the usual commodity classification tables.
Our approach
The report distinguished product types and reviewed the storage arrangement, heights, flue spaces, and sprinkler clearance. The analysis considered the protection basis for the special commodity as well as the ordinary and plastic-containing products stored in the facility. The revised document brought those conditions into one current assessment.
What we delivered
WFPE delivered an occupancy and commodity report describing the evaluated inventory and storage use. It established the assumptions supporting the arrangement and the need for reevaluation when products or methods of storage changed.
