Rental Inventory Fire Protection
Evaluating an inventory spanning furnishings, textiles, equipment, and operational supplies.
The project
A rental distribution operation combined many product types within one warehouse. Metal goods, wood products, cushioned furnishings, and textiles did not share one commodity classification, so the inventory needed to be evaluated as a mix.
Our approach
WFPE reviewed the classifications and the rack and floor storage arrangement, including aisles, flue spaces, and sprinkler clearance. The assessment also addressed the limited quantities of cleaning and operating supplies associated with the business. The analysis tied these conditions to the available protection.
What we delivered
The occupancy and commodity report established the evaluated storage basis for the varied inventory. It gave the operator a record of the assumptions supporting the use and the conditions requiring review when the product mix changed.
