Refrigerated Production & Storage Planning
Evaluating a production layout with both ordinary and refrigerated storage conditions.
The project
A proposed production tenant combined manufacturing and warehouse storage with cooler and freezer areas. WFPE evaluated the materials and storage arrangements alongside the different sprinkler provisions described for those spaces.
Our approach
The review considered commodity classification, packaging, storage height, and clearance to sprinklers. It addressed the proposed use of dry-pendant sprinklers in refrigerated areas and reviewed the inventory of cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance materials. These conditions were documented within the occupancy and protection analysis for the proposed tenant use.
What we delivered
WFPE delivered an engineering report describing the evaluated operation and protection criteria. The report supported development and review of the proposed use; it did not establish completion of the tenant improvements or certify every future operation in the building.
