Process Equipment Installation Evaluation
Combining equipment reports, supporting components, and observed interlocks in an installation evaluation.
The project
Newly installed production equipment prompted questions about its process gas use and installation. WFPE evaluated the equipment within the facility context and reviewed independent field evaluation reports prepared by a testing laboratory.
Our approach
Our work considered the applicable gas quantities and installation provisions, the labeling of supporting regulators and piping components, and the described operating procedures. WFPE also observed an interlock function. The assessment connected the equipment reports with the installation conditions and operation observed on site.
What we delivered
WFPE issued an engineering letter recommending approval of the evaluated installation. The recommendation documented our observations and review while keeping the testing laboratory’s equipment evaluation distinct from WFPE’s engineering role.
