Packaged Food Rack Storage
Evaluating different packaged food products within a single rack-storage operation.
The project
A distributor planned rack storage of dry products and packaged beverages. WFPE evaluated the commodity differences and the physical arrangement of the storage within an existing sprinklered tenant space.
Our approach
The report considered packaging, storage heights, aisles, and clearance to the sprinkler system. It also incorporated the separate rack loading and anchorage documentation supplied for the project. This brought the product classifications and the proposed storage layout into the same fire protection assessment.
What we delivered
WFPE delivered an occupancy and commodity letter establishing the evaluated operating basis. The report documented the conditions supporting the warehouse use, with later changes to product types or storage arrangements requiring review.
