On-Site Fire Water Supply
Developing a tank and pump approach when a conventional public water connection was not practical for a warehouse.
The project
A warehouse required a fire protection water supply without a practical conventional public connection. WFPE evaluated an on-site approach, bringing the building’s fire protection demands together with storage, pumping, and replenishment considerations.
Our approach
Our analysis addressed fire flow, sprinkler and hose-stream demands, and the water storage needed to support the evaluated conditions. We considered replenishment and modeled system demands to inform pumping recommendations. The work linked the demand analysis to the proposed supply arrangement so the recommendations could be understood as parts of a complete system.
What we delivered
WFPE delivered a water supply analysis documenting the demand basis and recommendations for on-site storage and pumping. It established engineering criteria for the proposed arrangement; the analysis itself did not represent installation, commissioning, or authority approval of the system.
