Office Fire Alarm Plan Review
Identifying the drawing information needed to evaluate alarm coverage and installation details for an office project.
The project
An office alarm drawing package was submitted for engineering review. WFPE examined whether the drawings provided the code basis and physical information needed to evaluate the proposed system.
Our approach
The marked review addressed code references, drawing orientation, ceiling heights and geometry, equipment mounting information, and wiring details. These items affected how the system could be understood and assessed from the plans. The comments tied the missing or incomplete information to specific parts of the submission.
What we delivered
WFPE returned marked drawings requiring revision and resubmittal. The deliverable gave the submitting team an actionable set of documentation improvements for the next review. WFPE’s role was independent plan review, not authorship or installation of the alarm design.
