Multi-Tenant Warehouse Retrofit Planning
Defining a protection basis for vacant tenant spaces during a planned building-wide system upgrade.
The project
An owner planned to add sprinkler and alarm systems to an existing multi-tenant building. Some suites were vacant while others remained occupied, so the analysis had to distinguish a prospective storage basis from the actual operations of existing tenants.
Our approach
WFPE evaluated anticipated commodities, storage arrangements, and protection criteria for the vacant spaces. The report described the proposed sprinkler approach and identified the need for occupied suites to have their own operation-specific evaluations. This kept shell-space planning assumptions from being applied indiscriminately across the building.
What we delivered
The deliverable established an engineering basis for the planned upgrades and future tenant use. It also defined the information still needed from individual occupants before their operations could be evaluated.
