Mixed-Building Fire Water Planning
Evaluating different building demands together to identify where additional fire protection pressure was needed.
The project
A residential project included buildings with different protection arrangements. An ancillary building affected the required site fire flow, while sprinkler demands elsewhere on the site introduced a separate pressure requirement.
Our approach
WFPE used the supplied flow test and utility plans to analyze both cases. The sprinkler evaluation considered the more elevated and hydraulically demanding areas, then examined a proposed pump arrangement to address the pressure needs identified in the analysis.
What we delivered
The water supply report connected the governing building conditions to the proposed supply strategy. It provided a documented planning basis for pumping and utility coordination, with the findings tied to the analyzed layout and system assumptions.
