Maintenance Parts Layout Revision
Updating the fire protection assessment when maintenance, fabrication, and storage areas were rearranged.
The project
An industrial tenant revised its floor plan and storage layout. The operation combined maintenance and fabrication with a varied parts inventory, so the updated assessment needed to account for both work areas and stored products.
Our approach
WFPE reviewed the revised arrangement, commodity packaging, rack conditions, and existing sprinkler protection. The report distinguished general inventory from items needing lower storage limits and reviewed the hazardous-material inventory associated with the operation. These details connected the changed layout with the evaluated operating conditions.
What we delivered
The revised occupancy and commodity letter superseded the prior arrangement. It gave the project team one current basis for the assessed use, with future product or layout changes identified as reasons for further review.
