Maintenance Facility Hydraulic Review
Identifying a hydraulic calculation issue that remained open after a sprinkler submittal revision.
The project
A maintenance facility’s sprinkler and fire pump package came to WFPE for review with drawings, a flow test, and hydraulic calculations for several protected areas. A key requirement was the safety margin specified for the system calculations.
Our approach
WFPE evaluated the submitted documents against the applicable project criteria and identified a calculation that did not meet the required margin. The review kept that unresolved requirement visible and requested a revised submission with a response linking each comment to the relevant plan or calculation change.
What we delivered
The review letter required resubmittal and recommended coordination before revisions were completed. Its value was a clear explanation of the remaining calculation issue and what was needed to address it. The record does not establish that the subsequent revision or installed system was accepted.
