Limited High-Piled Storage Areas
Defining separate storage zones and visible height controls within an existing retail and warehouse operation.
The project
An existing tenant space combined sales and warehouse storage. WFPE evaluated a plan that kept most inventory below high-piled storage thresholds while allowing a limited, specifically defined rack-storage area.
Our approach
The report classified the products and packaging and evaluated the extent of the designated storage areas, including the access space around racks. It called for striping or signage to communicate the applicable limits and considered aisle provisions for the existing building condition.
What we delivered
WFPE delivered a classification letter documenting the evaluated layout and restrictions. The work translated the code analysis into operating conditions that could be reflected in the warehouse arrangement, with expansion of the designated storage requiring review.
