Industrial Emergency Notification Testing
Evaluating alarm and emergency voice functions together, including message priority and intelligibility.
The project
An industrial facility’s alarm and mass notification systems required final inspection and witnessed testing. The work went beyond confirming device activation to include the way emergency messages and system priorities operated.
Our approach
WFPE inspected the installation and witnessed initiating and notification device testing, audibility and intelligibility measurements, radio transmission, circuit integrity, and standby power verification. Testing also addressed mass notification priority so the documented results covered the relationship between the alarm and emergency communication functions.
What we delivered
The final inspection documentation recorded the testing and WFPE’s approval of the evaluated system scope. It provided a closeout record linking the installed alarm and notification functions with their witnessed performance under the test conditions.
