Indoor & Outdoor Hazardous Storage
Organizing a varied hazardous inventory between indoor storage and proposed outdoor control areas.
The project
A distributor’s inventory included ordinary construction goods and several hazardous-material classes. WFPE evaluated how that mix could be organized within the existing warehouse and separate outdoor storage arrangements.
Our approach
The analysis reviewed the materials inventory, indoor quantity limits, storage configuration, labeling, and containment provisions. It also addressed the proposed outdoor control areas and the conditions associated with separating materials. Ordinary commodities and plastics were evaluated against the building’s sprinkler capability alongside the hazardous inventory.
What we delivered
WFPE documented the storage strategy and its operating requirements in an engineering report. The deliverable made the allocation of materials and the conditions behind the assessment explicit, supporting further development and review of the proposed arrangement.
