Finished Goods Storage Expansion
Separating a new finished-goods warehouse use from the manufacturing operation it supported.
The project
A producer added storage space for packaged finished goods. The new area was intended for warehousing without production activities, making that distinction an important part of the occupancy and hazard evaluation.
Our approach
WFPE classified the products and packaging and evaluated the proposed rack storage against the existing sprinkler system. The assessment considered storage height, clearance, access, and the conditions associated with the evaluated protection approach. It also documented the absence of manufacturing processes within the storage scope.
What we delivered
The resulting report established the fire protection basis for the new warehouse use. It gave the owner a clear set of assumptions for the finished-goods area and identified future operational or storage changes as reasons for reevaluation.
