Existing Service Facility Occupancy
Reviewing an established service use after an ownership change, including the conditions that would matter for a future addition.
The project
An existing vehicle service facility required updated occupancy documentation following an ownership change. WFPE considered its continuous historical use together with its current parts and maintenance-material inventory.
Our approach
The evaluation reviewed the original building context, service operations, stored commodities, and hazardous-material quantities. It distinguished the existing protection basis from the requirements that would apply to an addition. This connected the current occupancy assessment with decisions the owner might face when expanding.
What we delivered
WFPE provided a revised classification letter describing the evaluated use and its limits. The report documented the existing-building basis and identified future construction as a condition that could change the fire protection requirements.
