Equipment Rental Occupancy Evaluation
Evaluating an existing building’s equipment storage and maintenance materials under defined operating limits.
The project
An equipment operation planned to use an existing building for offices, display, and storage. WFPE evaluated whether the proposed use and inventory could remain within the building’s existing fire protection basis.
Our approach
The analysis reviewed occupancy, commodity classes, storage heights, and the distinction between ordinary storage and high-piled storage. It also considered maintenance fluids and gases against quantity limits. Outdoor fuel storage was identified as a separate permitting matter rather than folded into the indoor occupancy conclusion.
What we delivered
WFPE documented the operating and storage conditions supporting the evaluated use. The report connected the existing-building analysis to limits the owner would need to maintain and made clear that changes in commodities or storage methods required reevaluation.
