Equipment Manufacturing Hazard Review

Evaluating the fire protection implications of production materials, finished equipment, and process gases.

The project

A manufacturer needed its production and storage operations evaluated together. The facility handled raw materials and packaged finished equipment, while portions of the process also involved gases with differing hazard classifications.

Our approach

WFPE assessed occupancy and commodity classifications, the storage arrangement, and compatibility with the sprinkler protection. The hazardous-material review distinguished materials in storage from those used in the process and contained in finished equipment. It documented inventory limits and the conditions supporting the evaluated occupancy.

What we delivered

The resulting report connected the manufacturing activity, stored inventory, and hazardous-material assumptions in one technical record. It established the operating conditions used in the analysis, giving the owner a basis for recognizing when a change in products, quantities, or processes would require reevaluation.
