Electronics Warehouse Storage Review
Connecting electronics inventory, packaging, rack layout, and the existing warehouse protection system.
The project
An electronics distribution operation needed its storage arrangements evaluated against the building’s protection capabilities. The inventory and packaging introduced commodity classification questions alongside the practical details of rack storage.
Our approach
WFPE reviewed product and packaging classifications, storage heights, flue spaces, aisles, sprinkler clearance, and fire department access provisions. The evaluation also considered the treatment of batteries contained within equipment as part of the described inventory. Revised storage conditions and access information were incorporated into the report.
What we delivered
The occupancy and commodity classification letter documented the evaluated arrangement and its relationship to the existing sprinkler system. It provided a clear operating basis for the storage use, with product or layout changes requiring another look at the fire protection assumptions.
