Commercial Equipment Storage Evaluation
Connecting packaged commercial equipment and its proposed rack arrangement with the tenant space’s sprinkler protection.
The project
A commercial equipment distributor planned to use a tenant suite for offices and warehouse storage. The evaluation needed to account for the equipment, associated parts, and packaging together, because the stored commodity was more than the primary product alone.
Our approach
WFPE classified the inventory and reviewed the proposed pallet, rack, and shelf storage arrangements. The report considered storage height and sprinkler clearance alongside the supplied sprinkler design information, with additional review of access, egress, and the limited maintenance materials used in the space.
What we delivered
The occupancy and commodity letter documented the evaluated use and storage conditions supporting the fire protection approach. It established a written basis for the tenant’s proposed operations and identified the inventory and arrangement assumptions behind the evaluation.
