Care Facility Fire Water Storage
Translating a care facility’s sprinkler demand into a documented storage requirement where the municipal connection was limited.
The project
A care facility’s proposed sprinkler system relied on a dedicated fire water tank because the available municipal connection could not serve as the direct system supply. WFPE evaluated the storage requirement using the sprinkler contractor’s hydraulic calculations and the proposed pumping arrangement.
Our approach
The analysis compared the sprinkler demand over its required duration with the separate water volume associated with the pump evaluation. It also considered the proposed refill connection and the conditions that would need to be addressed before any refill contribution could be credited.
What we delivered
WFPE prepared a tank sizing analysis identifying the governing storage basis. The work translated the supplied system calculations into a water storage planning requirement; it did not represent installation, testing, or acceptance of the proposed tank and pump.
