Campus Alarm Design Coordination
Checking that the selected alarm equipment and drawing details supported the project’s stated design.
The project
A facility alarm package required review of both its design concept and the equipment selected to carry it out. WFPE evaluated the submission for consistency with the project requirements and for the information needed to understand device coverage.
Our approach
Review comments addressed the relationship between the selected control equipment and the proposed system, along with ceiling heights and notification coverage. The evaluation also identified missing device information and code-reference items requiring revision. These findings connected the overall system approach with the drawing details used to implement it.
What we delivered
WFPE issued a review requiring resubmittal and clarification of the identified items. The deliverable provided a focused list of coordination needs so the next package could address the equipment, coverage, and documentation questions together.
