Attic Sprinkler Condition Assessment
Investigating reported dry-system leaks and identifying what needed further inspection, testing, or repair.
The project
Reported leaks in an attic sprinkler system prompted an assessment of existing conditions. WFPE evaluated the accessible portion of the system, including evidence of earlier repairs, while recognizing that the limited inspection did not cover every concealed or remote section.
Our approach
The assessment considered corrosion, potential trapped water, pipe pitch and support, sprinkler condition, seals, and building moisture. Recommendations included a broader survey, targeted repairs, and laboratory evaluation of deposits before attributing a specific corrosion mechanism. The report also considered maintenance and replacement options appropriate to the observed conditions.
What we delivered
WFPE documented the visible issues and a path for further investigation and system planning. The evaluation supported decisions about repair and longer-term management without treating the limited observations as a definitive diagnosis of the entire system.
