Assembly Fire Safety Planning
Turning a venue’s fire safety requirements into assigned staff duties and a practical operating plan.
The project
An assembly venue needed a fire safety and crowd management plan that addressed how staff would respond during operations and an emergency. The work connected occupant management, communication, evacuation assistance, and staff responsibilities.
Our approach
WFPE’s plan addressed shift roles, occupant counting, crowd manager training, and procedures for directing and assisting occupants. It also covered notification-related operating actions, assembly and accountability procedures, drills, and updates to the plan. The emphasis was on assigning responsibilities and documenting the sequence of actions staff would need to carry out.
What we delivered
The deliverable was a facility fire safety and crowd control plan for use in operating procedures and training. It provided a documented framework for the venue’s emergency organization, with ongoing training and maintenance of the plan remaining part of its use.
